Banana Chocolate Chip Loaf
When you think of chocolate dessert recipes, do you think of banana chocolate chip recipes? You should, because this banana chocolate chip loaf is so moist and chocolatey, you'll want to have it for dessert every night...and maybe for breakfast too!
Serves: 8
Cooking Time: 1 hr
• 1 cup sugar
• 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2 large bananas)
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
• 2 all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup semisweet mini chocolate chips
• 1/2 cup nuts (optional)
1. Heat oven to 350F degrees.

2. Grease a 9" x 5" x 3" loaf pan.

3. Cream the sugar and butter with an electric mixer until light.

4. Add the eggs and mix well.

5. On low speed, mix in the bananas, milk, and vanilla.

6. Stop the mixer and add the flour, baking soda and salt.

7. Mix until just combined, then stir in the mini chocolate chips and nuts.

8. Transfer batter to prepared pan.

9. Bake until a wooden pick inserted in the center comes out clean, 55 to 60 minutes.

10. Cool in the pan 5 minutes, turn onto a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Mini chocolate chips work better than regular chips because the regular size ones tend to sink to the bottom of the loaf during baking.
